Smoked Nuts


  • 8 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2  tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary
  • 2 tsp salt (if your nuts are unsalted)
  • 2 lbs. unroasted mixed nuts


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.  Add the nuts and toss to coat.
  2. Transfer the nuts to a roasting pan.  A disposable aluminum pan will work; even better is a grilling pan with slats in it to let the smoke move through the nuts.
  3. Smoke at 200-225°F for 90-120 minutes, stirring every 15-20 minutes.
  4. Let cool before serving.
