Oreo Cookie Tort

Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 28 Oreo cookies
    • I'm cheap and used generic cookies.  Everyone still enjoyed it.
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 packages (8 oz. each) Cool Whip topping, divided
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz. each) instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk

Directions

  1. Process the Oreos in a food processor until crumbly.  Mix with the melted butter.  Reserve 2 tbsp, and press the remainder into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.  Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.  Cool.
  2. Mix together the cream cheese, one package Cool Whip, and powdered sugar.  Spread over the cookie crust.
  3. Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix with the milk for 1-2 minutes.  Spread over the cheese layer before it coagulates.  Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes for it to solidify.
  4. Spread remaining package of Cool Whip over the pudding.  Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
