Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels

Yield: 15 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and petite diced
  • 2 green onions, sliced thinly

Directions

  1. Place the puff pastry sheet on a sheet of plastic wrap.  If needed, roll with a rolling pin to smooth out the seams where it was folded.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeno, bacon, and green onions.  Spread the mixture over the pastry.
  3. Roll the pastry up as tightly as possible, avoiding air gaps.  Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  4. Slice into 1" slices.  Place them on a baking sheet that's been lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Cool briefly before serving warm.
