Korean Sloppy Joes

Yield: 12 servings

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup hoisin
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 12 brioche rolls
  • 4 green onions, sliced

  1. Brown the beef in a large skillet.  Drain off the excess fat.
  2. While the beef is cooking, whisk together the garlic, sesame oil, ketchup, hoisin, water, soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour over the drained beef, reduce the heat to low, and let simmer until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve the sloppy joes on the brioche buns, and sprinkle with green onions.
