Lime Asparagus

This asparagus recipe has just a hint of saltiness, but not too much.  Combined with the lime flavor it really stands out.

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp lime curd
  • Juice from one lime
  • Salt water

  1. Peel and trim the asparagus stalks.  Wrap them together using cooking string.
  2. Combine the butter, curd, and juice and mix until smooth.  If needed, put in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up.
  3. Bring salt water to a boil.  Drop the asparagus bundle in and cover until it starts boiling again.  Remove cover and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the asparagus, cut the string, and arrange on serving platter.  Pour the lime sauce over the top and serve.
