Grilled Trout

Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. trout fillet, skin on
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 1/8 tsp oregano
  • 3-4 sprigs dill
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions

  1. Pat the trout dry.  Mix together the butter and minced garlic, and then brush over the trout.
  2. Mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil, thyme, and oregano.  Sprinkle over the trout.
  3. Place the fish on the grill over medium heat, skin side down.  Top with dill and lemon slices.  Cook until the fish is done, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Serve warm with additional lemon.
