Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

These sandwiches are easy to whip up and taste great.  Treat yourself to a tasty snack on a lazy afternoon.

Yield: 2 Servings


  • 8 slices cinnamon-raisin bread
  • Pesto
  • 2 large tomato, sliced
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • Butter


  1. Spread 1 1/2 tsp of pesto onto each slice of bread.  Top four of the slices with tomato, provolone, and ham.  Complete the sandwich with the remaining slices.
  2. Spread butter on the outsides of the sandwiches, both top and bottom.
  3. Over medium heat, cook the sandwiches in a large skillet for 2-4 minutes on each side.  Slice down the middle and serve warm.
