Buttermilk Biscuits

Buttermilk biscuits can be described in one word: fantastic.  The secret is actually in technique more than getting the ingredients perfect.  You should aim to handle the dough as little as possible and keep the butter cold throughout the entire process.

Swiss Mushroom Chicken

This is an easy dinner that combines a lot of great flavors together.  The cheese melts the mushrooms in place on the chicken breasts.  It comes out looking like you worked all afternoon, but can be tossed together pretty quickly.

Grandma's Teabiscuits

Yield: 20 biscuits

This recipe is old.  I'm not quite sure how old, but my Grandmother remembers her mother baking them when she was a child.  So before cars, there were Grandma's Teabiscuits.

You top them with just about anything: peanut butter, jam, honey.  They go with any meat & potatoes type of dinner and are simple to make.

Nanaimo Bars

Nanaimo bars are one of Canada's contributions to baking.  There's some controversy about the origin and the original recipe.  Nonetheless, you can try this tasty version.  I flavored it with spearmint, but you could use any flavor you like or have plain filling.

Two-Layer Gianduja

Gianduja is a nut & chocolate confection that comes from Italy.  My pronunciation is terrible, so I couldn't tell you the right way to say it.  But it's definitely a tasty treat that everyone will enjoy.

Apricot & Balsamic Glazed Turkey Breast

The aroma off of this is simply amazing.  I wish there was a way I could beam the scent to you over the internet.  Get the scientists work on the smell technology.

In the meantime, try this yourself.  It takes some patience and attention, but really isn't too difficult.

Boneless Chicken Wings with Honey BBQ Sauce

These are a great finger food.  It's a fair amount of work to get the oil going for deep frying, but it's guaranteed to be popular.  The sauce is really a good mix with just enough sweetness, but not too much.
