Greek Feta Fondue

A rich, flavorful sampling from the Mediterranean.

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 oz. goat cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp minced fresh dill
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh mint
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Dippers
    • Crackers
    • Grape tomatoes
    • Cubed baguette
    • Green bell pepper pieces
    • Cubed hard cheese

Directions

  1. Combine the feta and cheese in a bowl.  Set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the milk and butter.  Heat on medium until melted and combined.
  3. Add the flour gradually, whisking together until smooth.  Continue until thickened, and then reduce heat to low.
  4. Add cheese mixture in handfuls, whisking continually until the cheese is melted and fully combined.
  5. Stir in the dill, mint, garlic powder, and black pepper.  Serve.
