Triple Cheese Balls

A single base mixture serves to create three different flavors of cheeseball.  All three are great, though my personal favorite is the Gorgonzola-cranberry.

  • Pesto Cheeseball
  • Horseradish-Bacon Cheeseball
  • Gorgonzola-Cranberry Cheeseball

Yield: 20 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Pesto Cheeseball
    • 4 tbsp pesto
    • 4 tbsp minced fresh basil
  • Horseradish-Bacon Cheeseball
    • 4 tbsp horseradish
    • 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon
    • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Gorgonzola-Cranberry Cheeseball
    • 2/3 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
    • 2/3 cup dried cranberries
    • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Assorted crackers

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese, parmesan, and garlic.  Divide into three even parts.
  2. In the first part, mix in the pesto and basil.
  3. In the second part, mix in the horseradish, bacon, and green onions.
  4. In the third part, mix in the gorgonzola, cranberries, and walnuts.
  5. Form each into balls and wrap in plastic wrap.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Serve with crackers or pretzels.
